My Story: From 20 Years Undiagnosed to Research Discovery to Maternal Understanding
The Undiagnosed Years
For over 20 years, I lived with something I couldn't name. Intrusive thoughts that felt like they came from nowhere. Anxiety that seemed disproportionate to the situation. Compulsive behaviours that I couldn't explain to anyone—including myself.
I was high-functioning. I had a successful corporate career. I completed my Health Science degree in Naturopathy with distinction. But underneath, I was exhausted from a constant internal battle that I thought was just "how my brain worked."
I didn't know that what I was experiencing had a name, effective treatments, or that millions of other people understood exactly what I was going through.

The moment I received my OCD diagnosis was truly transformative—not just because I finally had answers, but because I discovered there was hope.
With conventional treatment—therapy and medication—I experienced relief I never thought possible. For the first time in decades, my mind felt quiet. The foundation this created was essential and life-changing.
But something interesting happened with all that mental space I suddenly had...

My premium service didn't come from a business strategy. It came from recognising that complex presentations—whether in adults or children—require comprehensive investigation, not guesswork.
The Systematic Investigation Program evolved from:
As a mother first, practitioner second, I created a program that treats families the way I'd want my own family treated: with thorough investigation, honest communication, and compassionate support through potentially difficult discoveries.

Instead of spending hours performing compulsions, my mind turned to investigating. Why did my symptoms fluctuate even with consistent treatment? What was happening on the days when everything felt harder?
My systematic investigation into factors affecting OCD recovery led me down fascinating research paths: the gut-brain connection, inflammatory responses, environmental factors, and neurochemical patterns. I discovered the dopamine-OCD connection that explained so many recovery challenges.
But here's what I didn't expect: these same patterns kept appearing in other neurodivergent presentations.

As a mother of two young children, I understand something profound: that gut feeling when you sense something might be holding your child back, but you can't quite identify what.
I know the exhaustion of trying to do the best for your children while juggling everything else. I understand the guilt when you discover factors you didn't know about. I've experienced the frustration of practitioners who don't dig deep enough or connect the dots between seemingly unrelated symptoms.
This is where my professional expertise and maternal understanding converged.
Families started coming to me not because I claimed to have all the answers, but because I approached their children's health challenges the same way I approached my own recovery journey: with systematic investigation, research-driven curiosity, and genuine compassion.

For Children & Adults: My systematic approach helps identify environmental exposures, gut-brain imbalances, genetic variations, and other factors that might be creating obstacles for development and wellbeing.
For Adults with OCD: I offer specialised understanding from someone who's lived the recovery journey while maintaining the research-driven approach that uncovers contributing factors.
For Workplaces: My corporate experience combined with neurodivergent understanding helps organisations support diverse teams effectively.
My Commitment to Families
I believe in creating genuine partnerships where your observations and instincts are valued alongside my professional knowledge.
I understand that:
My approach is designed to help you understand what might be creating obstacles for your child while supporting you through whatever we discover—because we're in this together.
As someone who has experienced firsthand the transformation that comes from comprehensive investigation and appropriate support, I'm dedicated to helping families uncover what might be holding their children back so they can move forward with confidence.
